Dutch East Indian galliot 1766

It is believed that a Dutch galliot became wrecked on the south west coast of Victoria, (Port Fairy), in 1766. A Dutch coin dated 1755 was found there as well as the wreck. The ship had copper sheathing and was probably trying to avoid English privateers who were taking Dutch merchant shipping during the 7 Year's war.
It was accompanied by a second ship that made it safely to Apollo Bay where it lost a canon. There is some evidence that it made it into Botany Bay and the northern beaches.
Does anyone have any information on any lost ships at that time or information on Dutch ships that used copper sheathing? (copper from Japan).
